Northwest Portland Hostel

The Northwest Portland Hostel is housed in a village of historic buildings in Portland’s Nob Hill/Northwest district, a very popular area in Portland’s city center.

We offer dorms and private rooms, kitchens, common areas, and outdoor courtyard and gardens.

From the hostel, you can walk to downtown and many attractions, including NW 23rd Avenue, Powell’s City of Books, Washington Park, the Pearl Art District, Oldtown/Chinatown and Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Features include 24 hour reception, free wifi, free city maps, on-street parking, and lots of information on things to see and do.

Our staff are well traveled, friendly and helpful. We offer regular events, such as hikes, brew pub tours, and communal dinners.

We recognize the importance of an ongoing commitment to environmental, socio-cultural, and economic responsibility. Since 1998, we have implemented policies and procedures to address waste reduction, reuse of goods, recycling, wastewater management, environmentally sensitive purchasing, energy efficiency and more.

The Greyhound/Amtrak stations are 12 short blocks away, about a 10- to 15-minute walk. Bus #77 stops right across the street. The light rail MAX train from the airport stops 5 short blocks from us.
