Portland Montessori Collaborative
Portland Montessori Collaborative is a Montessori pre-school in Portland, OR, offering full and part day care for infants three months through Kindergarten.
The Collaborative was created in response to the overwhelming evidence that the people of the world must learn to live in better harmony with the natural world.
Our idea was to create a special space for the youngest children, and to integrate ideas of sustainability into the curriculum. We hope to create a space and time where children might become ecologically intelligent by living in and absorbing such an environment.
It's also a space where obstacles to independence are removed, where children feel empowered, competent and respected. A place where the foundation of learning is a strong human connection from which every child can explore their world confidently.
We are a year-round school offering four and five day schedules for full and part day care. We boast wholesome meals cooked on site, trained and experienced staff, a commitment to environmental sustainability, and a thoughtful outdoor curriculum.
Our school is a wonderful nurturing place to learn and grow.
