Portland Hydroponics and Organics

Portland Hydroponics and Organics is owned and managed by gardeners for gardeners. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible by offering the newest products, outstanding service and selection, and the best prices of any store period.

We will beat any price even on the internet!

Our underlying goal is to provide a happy and fun work environment with career growth opportunities for our employees and support our local community.

EnviroWagg and Pet Scoop have gotten together to create a novel and productive means for creating a high-quality soil amendment: We compost dog waste.

Named Doggone Good Potting Soil Mix, our product is a nutrient-rich soil amendment that's safe, has no bad odor, and offers a rich diversity of nutrients that produce robust plants.

The professional composting system at EnviroWagg carefully monitors temperatures and includes a long curing period. All finished material is tested to meet EPA standards and is safe for handling and for growing herbs, fruits and vegetables.

Wild Willow Farm is a non-profit educational farm managed by the Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County. We are a nurturing space that encourages biocultural diversity, providing experiences to nurture self-empowerment and inspire people to connect to food, land, and each other.

Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Land Trust holds agricultural land in and near Portland for purposes of research and education on sustainable agriculture.

OSALT acts as an umbrella organization that provides land, management processes and non-profit status to local communities for sustainable food production through gardening, farming, research and education.

We now hold seven pieces of land in trust. Some are farms outside the city of Portland; some are community gardens in the city.

At Chicago Roots, we carry the largest inventory of hydroponic gardening supplies in the Chicago area. Every day, we strive to accommodate you with the best prices, the best service, and the best selection of products from all the most trusted names.

~ RESPONSIBLE INGREDIENTS ~

All of our ingredients are permitted substances under the National Organic Program of the USDA.

Plus, in sourcing natural substances like glacial rock dust, langbeinite, Norwegian sea kelp, perlite, and sphagnum peat moss, we ensure that our suppliers are adopting practices that acknowledge that resources are depleting and must be managed responsibly.

~ EASY TO USE ~

GROWING VEGGIES, NOT LANDFILLS

Available at Joe's Organics, our “Greener Pastures Compost” is made using just a few ingredients: food scraps from Austin's green businesses, local horse manure from alfalfa-fed horses, and sawdust or leaves.

We collect over three tons of waste each week from 30 restaurants and sustainable businesses in the Austin area. Our piles are composted for at least 3 months using a hot composting method to create a product that is a fantastic additive to your (and our) soil.
