The Nines Hotel - LEED Certified

The Nines Hotel promotes sustainable values - for instance, we're a LEED Silver Certified building.

We occupy the site of Portland's iconic Meier and Frank department store building and began our transformation into a luxury hotel in 2005.

The original exterior was retained, while a seven-story light-filled atrium was created to best access beautiful views and natural light.

The name “the Nines” was created in homage to the Meier & Frank Building’s roots as a beacon of “dressed to the nines” fashion. Like the original Meier & Frank, we remain dedicated to providing impeccable service and an elevated experience.

All of our Portland luxury hotel rooms pay homage to our historic roots, while being truly stylish, artful and unique. Each room is literally “dressed to the nines” and features delightful design elements, including tall, over-scaled tufted ivory leather headboards and plush bedding
