Midwest Pesticide Action Center: Promoting Safer Alternatives

Strong scientific evidence has connected pesticide exposure to a host of health hazards from asthma and ADHD in children to cancer and reproductive problems. Moreover, the production and use of pesticides pollutes our water ecosystems and threatens our drinking water sources and wildlife.

That’s why it’s our mission at Midwest Pesticide Action Center to reduce the health risks and environmental impacts of pesticides by promoting safer alternatives.

We are the only organization in the Midwest dedicated to protecting people and the environment from the serious impacts of pesticides. For the past twenty years, we have been working at the local, state, and regional levels to implement long-term policy changes and develop replicable programs for pesticide-use reduction.

Contact our office to ask us questions about accessing our materials, adopting one of our campaigns, inviting us to give a workshop or training, or for technical assistance about reducing your pesticide use in your home or community.
