Our mission at TreeFolks is to empower Central Texans to build stronger and greener communities by planting and caring for trees.
We’ve already engaged thousands of volunteers to plant more than 2.5 million trees in Central Texas, and we invite you to join us in creating a healthier environment and enhancing our quality of life.
COMMUNITY BUILDING
TreeFolks engages thousands of volunteers and community groups to plant trees in public parks, preserves, and school yards.
GROWING THE URBAN FOREST
TreeFolks partners with the City of Austin to give trees to qualifying Austinites in the urban core through tree giveaways and consulting. Our NeighborWoods delivery program gives away 4,500 trees each year!
REFORESTATION
TreeFolks works to restore forests after natural disasters such as the devastating Blanco River floods of 2015 and the forest fires of 2011 in Bastrop County.
EDUCATION
TreeFolks provides free, year-round education opportunities for all ages with an emphasis on hands-on, experiential learning using the urban forest as our teacher.
VOLUNTEER
Our volunteer events welcome all ages and abilities to participate in growing our green world.
We love and need trees because they clean our air and water, provide habitat for wildlife, produce fresh fruit for neighbors, and shelter us from the hot Texas sun.
