Hill Country Conservancy, a community group preserving our natural areas

Hill Country Conservancy marshals resources to preserve Hill Country's natural areas, aquifers and springs, rivers and streams, farms and ranches, and rural heritage. Some current projects:

VIOLET CROWN TRAIL

The Violet Crown Trail began as a vision in 1999 to create the first regional trail system in Central Texas. After years of strategic land acquisition and planning, the first six-mile segment is now open.

EPIC

Emerging Professionals in Conservation (EPIC) is an outdoors club dedicated to exploring and preserving the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country. We connect with each other and the environment through adventures, educational events, volunteerism, and philanthropy.

Activities include camping trips, nature hikes, kayaking, ranch tours, Lunch & Learns with inspiring speakers, trail cleanups, and more. Join a network of professionals who care about keeping Austin green, love having fun in nature, and are champions for conservation.

WELLSPRING: A MONTHLY GIVING PROGRAM

Your support of our conservation work helps ensure that the Hill Country we all love will be here for future generations to cherish and enjoy.
