Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado: Active Stewards of Colorado’s Natural Resources

Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) connects the general public with stewardship projects in trail construction and maintenance, invasive species management, habitat restoration, gardening and planting, forestry management, flood and fire restoration, and more. Every year, we rely on thousands of people just like you to provide a volunteer workforce for essential environmental projects.

We offer volunteer opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, as well as for clubs and groups. And our projects are always marked as “easy,” “moderate,” or “difficult” - so you can find the project that’s right for you.

We are headquartered in Denver, but our projects take place across Colorado – from city parks and open spaces, to grasslands and foothills, to alpine meadows and peaks.

While work varies in type and difficulty, all projects are fun, gratifying, and address a critical stewardship need.

OUTDOOR STEWARDSHIP INSTITUTE

The Outdoor Stewardship Institute offers affordable, in-depth training courses for volunteers and employees from any organization to improve stewardship skills and prepare for a variety of leadership roles.
