Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program (JD) at University of Denver Strum College of Law

No other law school in the United States offers a specialized program in environmental and natural resources law with the breadth, scope and opportunities provided at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

The Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program’s curriculum emphasizes both theoretical and experiential knowledge. Students explore practical and ethical contributions to current and future environmental and natural resource issues.

Students also benefit from faculty at the forefront of research and practice, building their problem-solving skills through case study, classroom simulation, environmental advocacy, practicums, legal externships and clinical programs.

GRADUATE PROGRAMS

In addition to the JD degree, The University of Denver Sturm College of Law provides a world-leading course of graduate study and experience for students seeking greater understanding of environmental, natural resource and energy issues, and the associated challenges and opportunities. Along with our Environmental and Natural Resources core classes, we offer our students innovative course work in Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development to better prepare and help them excel in their new careers.
