GoFarm Coop's "Farmer Incubator Program" - training to start your own farm

GoFarm Coop's Farmer Incubator program mentors beginning farmers and breaks down barriers to setting up farms by providing technical assistance and training, as well as access to land and infrastructure, .

Participants manage their own farm plots (provided by GoFarm), with a portion of produce going to GoFarm's local food-share program.

After two years of learning and development in the program, GoFarm then assists graduates in locating land for independent, sustainable farming businesses.

In addition, we offer a local food-share program, which supports our farmer incubator and community access programs.

LOCAL FOOD SHARE

The GoFarm Local Food Share Program connects our community with its local food source. The program is dedicated to providing local, sustainable and healthy food to residents in Jefferson County by partnering with over 24 (and growing!) small farms across the state.

We offer weekly and bi-weekly shares of vegetables, fruits, eggs, and more. We accept SNAP/EBT, and SNAP customers can get food shares half-off.

COMMUNITY ACCESS

At participating schools, we distribute low-cost local food shares directly to families and staff. We also provide classroom support/curriculum for teachers on how produce is grown and what makes it healthy.
