The Miami Climate Alliance

The Miami Climate Alliance is a coalition of organizations and individuals working to prioritize climate justice in South Florida. We work for equity and resilience by activating our community through strategic action, increasing understanding of climate change and sea level rise as threats to all forms of justice, and building urgency around community well-being.

Since its creation in 2015, the Miami Climate Alliance has achieved significant policy wins and worked to establish a model for just, equitable, and resilient communities. We are action-oriented – focused on solutions addressing causes and effects of climate change.

We organize trainings on climate issues, leadership and organization; art and music competitions; as well as community meetings and public gatherings to engage and mobilize our communities for climate, jobs, and justice.

We act as a bridge, connecting organizations that might otherwise be siloed. As a local hub for climate justice we help members identify intersectional issues, work in coordination with other organizations, and connect with resources, building collective power.

Currently, we number 80+ member organizations, committees and working groups.
