TREEmendous Miami - planting and preserving trees in Miami-Dade County
TREEmendous Miami is a group of dedicated citizens making Miami-Dade a greener, cooler, healthier and more enjoyable environment in which to live.
We are volunteers united to build community pride by planting, promoting and preserving trees in Miami-Dade County. In our first 10 years, TREEmendous Miami is proud to have planted nearly 10,000 trees and enlisted the help of more than 6,000 volunteers from the community.
These volunteers include thousands of young people earning community service hours while learning about the importance of trees in our environment.
We have installed trees along public roads and highways, at schools, on environmentally endangered land, in parks and historic sites.
Members of TREEmendous Miami also conduct educational sessions in conjunction with our tree planting activities, providing lectures as well as hands-on instruction to local residents and citizen groups.
