The Art of Cultural Evolution, "sharing environmental ideas through art"

The Art of Cultural Evolution is a Florida-based non-profit organization whose mission is to share environmental and social ideas through art, film, publications, classes and workshops. The organization offers programs, exhibitions, events and projects to educate and engage the public in new ideas about cultural and environmental sustainability.

We are developing a demonstration site of sustainable possibilities in South Florida called Colony1. Colony1 brings art and environmental research together to engage a deeper understanding of current environmental changes.

We have also created a sustainable land lab consisted of solar energy, rainwater harvesting, above- and in-ground gardens, vermiculture and traditional composting, with food materials.

Other programs include ReProcess events, where we use trash to construct a public piece of art in collaboration with artists, Ecological Bus Project, EnviroKids Program, Public Art Installations and much more!

Volunteer opportunities range from urban farming and data collection to administration and PR - let us know what you're interested in.

Help build a resilient community by participating, volunteering and supporting local initiatives!
