South Florida Wildlands Association -- Save Our Everglades!

South Florida Wildlands Association (SFWA) is a not-for-profit organization founded in March 2010 to protect the unparalleled beauty and biodiversity of the greater Everglades, which is of one of our planet's most unique natural areas.

Many of south Florida’s native ecosystems have been completely transformed by agriculture, commercial and residential development, roads, canals, seaports, airports, and rock mines. Even its most protected natural areas, four units of the National Park Service, containing a mix of habitats and wildlife found nowhere else on earth, have not escaped degradation as a result of outside pollutants and high impact motorized recreation.

Our organization is rapidly gaining recognition as a forceful and effective group working to protect south Florida’s public lands and remaining wildlife habitat.

We also send out monthly emails and action alerts on important wildlife habitat issues in the greater Everglades.

Join us to explore these special places and find out what you can do to help. Learn more about the various threats and challenges the greater Everglades faces today.
