At Health in the Hood, we build and maintain community gardens in food deserts, along with providing nutrition and fitness education, in order to break barriers between low-income communities and healthy choices.
We believe the future of food is local. We’re creating healthier communities, one garden at a time.
By providing access to fresh foods and health education in low-income neighborhoods, we are putting children on the path to healthy futures, giving parents useful information and creating environments that make healthy choices easy.
