$25,000 for a Short Documentary About Climate

05/16/22

Bloomberg Green will award $25,000 for a brief documentary that "addresses the urgency of climate change." The winner will be announced at the Bloomberg Green Docs Film Festival in October 2022, and the winning entry screened along with four runners-up.

For this first "Bloomberg Green Docs" competition, entries must be "no more than ten minutes in length on a topic related to nature, global warming, the outdoors or the environment generally." A jury of scientists, editors and luminaries from the film world will choose the winner.

"We want to explore our climate future in the here and now, with documentaries that reveal the world we are making today," Bloomberg Green says. "Ecosystems are being restored alongside the formation of tomorrow’s zero-carbon communities. At the same time, extremes in our habitats warn of cascading climate consequences."

Entries must be in English or have English language subtitles, including all end credits. Other requirements apply.

Submissions accepted through September 16, 2022.
