LEGISLATIVE UPDATES

Colorado’s statewide Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) offers benefits and incentives to members (businesses and organizations) that voluntarily go beyond compliance with state and federal regulations and are committed to continual environmental improvement.

In exchange for these commitments, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment provides a number of guaranteed and potential benefits as set forth in department policy.

The Coalition's mission is to protect and restore watershed ecosystems across Massachusetts, in order to sustain healthy rivers, streams, lakes, water supplies, and terrestrial and aquatic habitats.

Formed in 1991, we work with state and federal agencies and citizen groups to create public-private partnerships.

Our three primary goals:
1. Strengthen the work and knowledge of community groups;
2. Raise public awareness of land and water management issues;
3. Improve policies and decisions affecting rivers and their watersheds.

ELDERS CLIMATE ACTION is a grassroots movement of elders organized to create the political will necessary to change our nation’s energy policies.

We are dedicated to using the power of our caring, our wisdom and our numbers to push for strong energy policies that will reduce greenhouse gases in our atmosphere to a level consistent with life thriving on our planet.

Why Now?

We conduct scientific research on public climate change knowledge, attitudes, policy preferences, and behavior at the global, national, and local scales.

We conduct scientific studies on public opinion and behavior; inform the decision-making of governments, media, companies, and advocates; educate the public about climate change; and help build public and political will for climate action.
