FamilyFarmed is a Chicago-based non-profit committed to expanding the production, marketing and distribution of locally grown sustainable food. We’ve trained more than 12,500 farmers to grow their markets - and we can help you, too.

Chicago Bird Collision Monitors (CBCM) is an all-volunteer conservation project dedicated to the protection of migratory birds through rescue, advocacy and outreach. We work to protect and recover migratory birds that are killed and injured in the downtown Chicago area each spring and fall migration—and we need your help.

Participate in bird rescue, bird transport, public outreach, or fundraising. Previous experience with birds is not required. All that you need is a sincere desire to help birds that have come into harm's way.

The Colorado Association for Recycling (CAFR) is the leading independent, non-profit organization in Colorado working to advance infrastructure, end markets, and state and local policies so that Colorado's waste stream is recycled, composted, or diverted to reuse or remanufacturing.

To promote and encourage recycling, CAFR provides information for business, industry, government, and media, as well as tools for teachers and students.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATES

Colorado’s statewide Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) offers benefits and incentives to members (businesses and organizations) that voluntarily go beyond compliance with state and federal regulations and are committed to continual environmental improvement.

In exchange for these commitments, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment provides a number of guaranteed and potential benefits as set forth in department policy.

We have tasked ourselves with the protection, enhancement, restoration, and – in urban areas – expansion of our shared natural environment.

This includes public advocacy at all governmental levels, outreach to all environmental organizations, public education at community events, and advocacy for and supervision of State of California mandated public coastal access and easements.

Increasingly, Mother Nature needs representation. Someone has to stand up for the environment when no one else will.

EcoRise inspires a new generation of leaders to design a sustainable future.

We offer academically-aligned sustainability and design-innovation curricula for elementary, middle, and high school teachers. Because our materials are customizable to fit within—and enhance—existing scope and sequences, teachers are able to easily integrate EcoRise lessons without sacrificing important material assessed on standardized tests.

On 227 acres of Central Texas Hill Country habitat, Wild Basin Creative Research Center facilitates research, public awareness, and preservation of Austin’s wildlands to promote the protection of eight endangered species and 27 species of concern. We also offer guided hiking tours for adults and school children.

In collaboration with St. Edwards University and Travis County, Wild Basin Creative Research Center serves as a local gateway to the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve.
