Urban Agriculture

We are innovative community-based urban agriculture project that grows produce in its own fields and provides access to affordable, nutritious and culturally appropriate food to residents of our ReVision Family Home and our extended community.

Since 1990, the ReVision Family Home and the ReVision Urban Farm have given food and shelter to hundreds of homeless families and provided healthful food options to thousands of people throughout the community. We also provide job training for youth and Boston’s homeless.

We grow heirloom tomatoes, kale, beets, herbs, salad greens, garlic and more and sell the majority of our production to Chicago restaurants. This reduces local chefs’ carbon footprint while increasing Chicago’s food self-sufficiency. We sell a percentage of our yield to communities without access to fresh produce at greatly reduced prices.

Urban farm - Mother Earth Miami

Mother Earth Miami runs a small urban plot where farmers Katia and Gabi grow a variety of vegetables, herbs and edible flowers for the community, local chefs, community supported herbalism shares and for our handcrafted products.

We're located in Little Haiti where we’re able to teach workshops and sell our herbs, edible flowers and vegetables to local restaurants and the community.

Mile High Urban Farming is committed to helping people grow their own food. We design urban gardens, provide garden maintenance, offer consultations for farm to table plans, and supply organically raised, non-GMO flowers, herbs, and vegetables grown in Denver.

Mile High Urban Farming can design your spring, summer, and fall growing spaces around organic principles. We tailor our designs to meet your growing needs, and have developed growing techniques that work with Denver's unique growing environment.

Portland Urban Beekeepers

Portland Urban Beekeepers is a non-profit organization of beekeepers that provides community, advocacy, and education for those interested in raising honey bees and supporting their presence in the environment.

Monthly meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month from 7:00 – 9:00pm. Our meetings are open to members and non-members alike.

Our two missions:

1. We take unused plots of land in the urban Miami area and turn them into neighborhood farms, creating community hubs centered around food and friendship.

Our current farm is located at the Marian Center in Miami Gardens. We grow a wide variety of vegetables on 2 acres, and are Certified Organic. We grow all of our produce using sustainable standards.

Bee Heaven Farm in Redland, Florida, provides fresh LOCAL and ORGANIC produce to Southeast Florida via its CSA program and farmers market sales.

We grow a wide assortment of vegetables, herbs and edible flowers.Browse through our land to see how we grow for you!

(Participants in CSA pay in advance before the start of the season for a share of the farm’s harvest. In turn, they receive a portion of farm products each week (or biweekly) throughout the growing season.)

Centered in the West Denver food desert of Westwood, Re:Vision helps low-income families grow their own food, maintains an urban farm, provides food classes, and works with the new Westwood Food Co-op.

We use a resident-led approach by training and employing local residents in all aspects of urban agriculture and healthy living, providing them with technical skills and knowledge that they share with their community.
